Q. What is the GPA requirement for Dean's List?
A. You have to have a 3.33 average for Fall and Spring semesters combined. The catalogue says, "The Dean’s List for each year names those students whose total records for the previous academic year average 3.333 or above and include at least 24 credits for traditional-aged undergraduates or 16 credits for Ada Comstock Scholars. Students must be enrolled at Smith for the full year to be named to the Dean’s List."

Q. What is the GPA requirement for Phi Beta Kappa?
A. There’s not a GPA requirement, per se. The only information available on the Smith site says: "Students elected to Phi Beta Kappa in the fall of their senior year are in the top three percent of their class and must have taken at least one course in each of the seven major fields of knowledge in the liberal arts. An additional group of students is elected in the spring, before commencement. The total number of students elected to Phi Beta Kappa in a given year may not exceed 10 percent of the senior class." See your Smith College Catalogue for more information.

Q. What is the GPA requirement for Latin Honors?
A. This varies from year to year based on the grade distribution of your particular class, although usually it's somewhere in the 3.7 range. Latin Honors are given to those that are in the top percentages of their class (and who have met the distribution requirements). See your Smith College Catalogue for more information.
